From Sydney, Australia, to Fort McMurray, Alberta, from Tokyo to Buenos Aires, veteran journalist and historian Gregory DL Morris has reported from 43 states, eight Canadian provinces, and 14 countries on five continents in more than two decades of writing and editing for trade and consumer publications.
Morris was founding Gulf Coast Editor and then Global Markets Editor for ChemicalWeek Magazine, Executive Editor of Bank Investment Marketing Magazine, and Editor-in-Chief and Associate Publisher of Today's Refinery Magazine.
Morris wrote the history of money and history of stock markets chapters in the New York Times Guide to Essential Knowledge, and was subject-matter expert for the Compass Point Books biography of J. Pierpont Morgan.
Morris is a member of the editorial board of the Museum of American Finance and was guest curator most recently for the exhibit "Survival of the Fittest: The Evolution of the Dow Jones Industrial Average."
Morris has had by-line articles in such major publications as American Heritage, Continental (in-flight), Financial Planning, Institutional Investor News, American Oil & Gas Reporter, Trains, Naval History, and Pennsylvania Heritage.
Morris holds a BS in Journalism with distinction in all subjects from Cornell University. He is a second-generation Eagle Scout and is the father of a third-generation native New Yorker.
